Sharon Givoni has been running her own Melbourne based legal practise for 15 years and has 20 years’ experience in the field of law. Previously she worked at a top tier law firm in Melbourne and part of her role involved advising in the packaging and labelling practise.
A passionate lawyer, Sharon has been invited to speak at over 80 industry conferences Australia-wide on IP and business-related topics and is also heavily involved in packaging and labelling laws. She runs intensive workshops for large conglomerates covering Australian labelling packaging requirements (on behalf of the Australian Institute of Packaging). She has recently been invited as a specialist lecturer by the prestigious University of Melbourne to deliver lectures about Packaging Innovation to Masters’ Students.
Sharon is a committee member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc. (IPSANZ) and a member of the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria and the general editor of the prestigious Internet Law Bulletins published by LexisNexis. She has recently written her second book called book Owning It: A Creative’s Guide to Copyright, Contracts and the Law which covers many aspects of intellectual property in some detail including the plain packaging reforms in Australia.
